Description:

The print depicts a landscape of a river with a grassy area to the left of it and a beach surface to the right. In the background a mountain range overlooks the waterfront area. A flock of birds also is pictured flying by the scenery. In the water there are many boats filled up almost completely with people. If I had to guess I would assume it is a working class of people heading out to do different things and/or jobs for the day. ANother reason why I think this may be is because of the sunrise behind the mountain. It makes it seem as if this is the start to an ordinary day for these people in the mountain area. I like how the colors of the grass fr4om the mountain differ from the colors of the grass along the shore. The grass on the mountain is much darker than the shoreline grass which is very green. I think this is an important work because it depicts a somewhat hectic scene of a sunrise and people setting out for the day. But at the same time it also seems simple in a way.
