It looks like it is a water color painting as well. What stood out to me most is the contrast between the background of the painting and the wall itself. The background is very dark colored and the sky is a dark gray tone as well. This gives me the feel of eeriness looking at it. However, the wall is much lighter colored than the background which caused it to really stand out to me.
