Pregnant Animal-Headed Female

This statue is from the ancient city Mohenjo Daro. It is made of terracotta with traces of red paint covering the figure. It is completely solid except for two holes where either arm should be. Due to the enlarged stomach, it is presumed that the statue is a pregnant female, however, there is a strange lack of breasts on the statue. The head has animalistic features similar to that of a dog, with enlarged ears on either side of the head. Due to the nature that the figure is pregnant, and because it is not fully human, it could be presumed that this may have been a goddess or deity of fertility, however, there is not much known about the statue, nor the city from which it was excavated from.
