The Great Wall

Title: The Great Wall

This painting depicts the Great Wall of China. It looks like it is a water color painting as well. What stood out to me most is the contrast between the background of the painting and the wall itself. The background is very dark colored and the sky is a dark gray tone as well. This gives me the feel of eeriness looking at it. However, the wall is much lighter colored than the background which caused it to really stand out to me. It also helps with being able to see how far the wall stretches down the painting, you can see a line of white going way into the distance of the dark black mountains.
